Super Duper Tuesday: PokerStars Breaks a Record

The Pokerstars Super Tuesday tournament broke its own attendance record yesterday. When registration closed, the $1,050 No-limit Hold'em weekly Tuesday tournament had a whopping 688 entrants. The record-setting field created a prize pool of $688,000 with a 1st-place prize of $129,344.
Canada fielded a deep team in the event with 99 runners playing out of the Great White North. Unknown player “morans350” was the only member of the final table playing out of Canada, finishing 7th for $22,360. Second best finish came from well known professional poker player Will “molswi47” Molson from Montreal, Quebec who cashed $3,096 for 34th. Vancouver, BC’s Jonas “donut604” Mackoff exited 39th for $2,752, Toronto, Ontario’s Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood finished 68th for $2,201, and Brampton, Ontario’s Sebastian "p0cket00" Sikorski busted 80th for $1,995.
Some of Canada’s elite players made appearances with no success. Ami “UhhMee” Barer (84th), Steve “BetrThanPhil” Tripp (115th), Yann “yadio” Dion (266th), Mike “SirWatts” Watson (359th), Griffin “Flush_Entity” Benger (361st), Charles “Chilax Chuck” Sylvester (361st), Shyam “G’s Zee” Srinivasan (365th), and Mark “AceSpades11” Radoja (375th).
After nine hours of play, the last nine survivors reached the final table. Each had secured themselves a $10,320 pay day. At the start of play on the final table, Stefano “Easylimp” Terziani out of the United Kingdom was the chip leader with 718,477. Here’s how the chips stacked up at the beginning of the final table.

The final table took just under two hours to crown a champion. When the smoke cleared Stefano Terziani was crowned taking home $129,344.
