Canadian Tournament Calendar - November 2014

Canadian Tournament Calendar - November 2014 0001

If you can believe it, 2014 is almost over. There are only a few more major poker events in Canada before we put up a new calendar for the new year.

PokerNews Canada is the only source for a comprehensive list of major Canadian poker tournaments each month, and the November edition is available for you here. With our help, you'll know where the action is from coast to coast to coast. Don't miss a single Canadian major by checking in each month for our calendar of events.

While most of the country has had a beautiful, long fall, November is guaranteed to bring the cold weather and first few snowfalls as winter sets in. This means that live events become more scarce as poker players would rather stay home than travel for tournaments. There are only a couple of major events this month, but we know that means you are just going to be spending that much more time online instead. It's the perfect time to try out a new poker site or grind out a bonus with a new account. Make sure you check out our offers and download through us!

World Poker Tour (WPT) Montreal and Playground Poker Fall Classic

Location: Playground Poker Club — Kahnawake, Quebec
Date: November 9 to 27

What November lacks in the number of series across the country it makes up for with the 19-day long festival of poker at Canada's premier poker destination. WPT is back for another great Canadian event — arguably the biggest one of the year — running in conjunction with another great schedule of events in the Playground Poker Fall Classic. Hosted just outside of Montreal in a world-renowned poker room, WPT Montreal is a televised, partypoker-sponsored event you don't want to miss.

The action kicks off in the usual fashion for Playground with a multiday (four entry flights), cheap entry ($150), prize-pool-guaranteed ($100,000) tournament that offers a ton of value. Where else can you play a three-day, $150 tournament? The series boasts a mix of game variants, and the action will heat up with the $3,850 WPT Montreal Main Event and the $10,400 High Roller. Most of the best players in the country and plenty more from around the world will be in attendance.

There are plenty of satellites running at Playground Poker Club during the event, and tickets to WPT Montreal Main Event can be earned online at partypoker.

All of the events are listed as reentries, though maximum seating is for 210 players at a time, and all have fairly quick 30-minute blind levels.
