The Sunday Briefing: PokerStars Doubles Down

Regular online grinders and weekend warriors on PokerStars were treated to a double taste of action on Sunday. PokerStars held their “Double Vision” promotion featuring bonus installments of the week’s top majors. The Sunday Kickoff, Sunday Warm-Up, Storm, and Sunday Million all ran twice adding almost $2,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

Jon 'apestyles' Van Fleet made the final table of the main Sunday Million, earning $102,959 for a third-place finish. Van Fleet (pictured above) scored the largest prize for a player in Canada on Sunday. 'SuitedConex4' kicked off the day with a runner-up finish in the Sunday Kickoff for $25,261. 'scrubbyz' scooped a big piece of the Sunday Warm-Up prize pool, adding $65,533 to their career online earnings. 'Kappustahead' made quick work of the Sunday Supersonic. In under two hours, the Canadian turned his $215 into $53,528.

With only a couple more weeks to qualify, 'Carster', Piquette', and 'puradchi' all booked their seat to the 2015 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.

Over on Full Tilt, 'argos94', 'FLIPokeHer', and Mark 'dipthrong' Herm final tabled the Super Sized Sunday. The largest portion went to argos94, taking $18,156 for second. FLIPokeHer and Herm took $4,005 and $2,403 for a seventh- and ninth-place finishes, respectively. The only Canadian final-tablist of The Sunday Major was 'philhellmatt'. A fifth-place elimination was worth $9,974.
