Day 2 of the World Poker Tour (WPT) Lucky Hearts Poker Open at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Florida saw 361 players of the original 1,027 return to unbag their chips and try to survive another day and get one step closer to becoming the next WPT Champion.
Sunday's field was full of some talented Canadians, and by the end of the day Champions Club member Nenad Medic was leading our countrymen with 839,000 chips, good for fifth overall, while Brian Altman topped the leaderboard with 1.292 million. Amir Babakhani will also continue with 720,000 chips, and Erik Cajelais hangs on with 70,000. Just 78 players survived the day to return for Day 3.
Some of the opponents our Canadian contingent will need to face include Vinny Pahuja, Steve Gross, Zo Karim, Jason Koon, Joe Serock, Jared Jaffee, Shannon Shorr, and Noah Schwartz. Day 2 was the end of the road for Canadians Eric Afriat, Jonathan Duhamel, Rubens Tarzia, Gao Jie, Vincent Jacques, and Neil Stemmler.
