The 2015 Maritime Meltdown held by Casino New Brunswick wrapped up over the weekend. The $550 buy-in Main Event saw 97 participants enter the two starting Day 1s on Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21, creating a $48,500 prizepool.
After the prize pool was calculated, the remaining final table of nine players took home prize money. A min-cash was worth $1,213 while the winner was to receive $16,975.
Peter O. finished in third place, taking home $6,305. Heads-up play found Trevor Delaney taking on Gerry Macleod. Delaney ended up coming out second-best in the heads-up battle, winning $9,700 for second place, while Macleod took home a big cheque worth $16,975 and the title of 2015 Maritime Meltdown Champion.

The next big event at Casino New Brunswick is the Maritime Poker Championships which holds seven different events ranging in buy-ins from a $110 satellite to a $1,100 high roller event that kicks off the Championship series starting on May 9. The Main Event features a $550 buy-in over three Day 1s starting on Friday May 15 with 25 percent of each flight moving on to Day 2.
