Once again, Sebastian 'p0cket00' Sikorski sits atop an online poker tournament. This tournament just also happens to be the richest event available weekly online. Sikorski claimed the PokerStars $1,050 Super Tuesday this week for 93,755 after a three-way chop.
His latest victory marks the third time he has claimed one of online poker’s most prestigous weekly tournaments. Sikorski is the 15th ranked online poker player in the world and second in Canada, according to Pocket Fives. He has amassed more than $8.7 million in his career.
Sikorski was not the lone Canadian to reach the final table. ‘Pedro323’ was able to score a fifth-place cash of $33,804. ‘D_DIGGLER99’ (11th — $7,512), Mike ‘SirWatts’ Watson (12th — $7,512), and Yann ‘yadio’ Dion (22nd — $3,756) just missed out on the big end of the prize pool.
The event drew in 626 entries creating a prize pool of $626,000, easily covering the $400,000 guarantee. There were 72 places paid and it took just over 12 hours for ‘p0cket00’ to eliminate his last opponent and earn over $90,000.
