Rod Mokelky Wins Event 1 of the 19th Annual Harvest Poker Classic

The Harvest Poker Classic (HPC) is one of the longest running tournament series in Canada. First played in 1997, the 2015 edition of the HPC is the 19th annual running of the event at Casino Regina.
Built inside Regina's historic train station, Casino Regina offers a unique environment for poker players. Running in the Showroom, Casino Regina offers plenty of space for the tournament as well as an array of cash tables running at the same time.
Event 1 of the 2015 HPC finished early this morning, attracting nearly 300 runners. When the final counts were done, 294 players registered for the $400 event generating a total prize pool of over $80,000.
It took over 14 hours to whittle down the field to a winner. Event 1 had a unique structure, paying out only the final table, and as such the prizes were quite large for a $400 tournament. It was nearly 12 hours after the day began before the final 10 players were ready to sit down at the final table, and when they did, everyone was guaranteed at least $3,324.
Rod Mokelky came to the final table with the chip lead and never gave it up. He used his big stack to his advantage, collecting several bounties at the final table alone. He was the last person standing, collecting $24,811. All of the payouts are below.
