The NHL Alumni Charity Poker Tournament Returns to Sportsnet

The sixth most-popular story of the year was our announcement of the return of the popular NHL Alumni Charity Poker Tournmanet on Sportsnet.

This annual televised poker tournament sees some of hockey’s biggest names come together alongside a few of poker’s top players and a few amateur qualifiers to try to earn money for a charity of their choice.

Some of the players to take part included Daniel Negreanu, Jonathan Duhamel, Vanessa Rousso, Wendel Clark, and Denis Savard. The episodes showed the players compete through six-handed shootout tables to find a seat at the final table with $100,000 in charity donations to compete for, and it was all broadcast on Sportsnet360 across Canada.
