A Jolly Weekend of Tournaments Brings Cheer to Deerfoot Inn & Casino

Just as regular as Santa making his annual shimmy down the chimney, Deerfoot Inn & Casino host their Ho Ho Hold’em poker event each December. With the weather bitter cold outside, players came in where it's warm for a pair of poker tournaments in the Calgary poker room.
The first Ho Ho Hold’em event was a $220 tournament that received 77 entries on Saturday, December 10. The eventual winner was John Hansmeyer, earning $4,755 to take Christmas shopping.

The poker room was extra jolly for the second event which ran on Sunday, December 11, when the prize pool settled in at $21,572 for the $330 tournament. The 75 players were topped by Jordan Johnstone who unwrapped a gift of $7,011.
