Casino Regina

Looking back on 2016 as it comes to a close, we’re featuring our top 10 articles from the year to show the highlights of poker in Canada in 2016. These are decided on the very simple measurement of which articles were read the most.

The 10th-most read article of the year was the announcement of a new tournament series at Casino Regina in Saskatchewan’s capital city. While the casino’s two other annual series, the Station Poker Classic and Harvest Poker Classic, celebrated their 20th year, they also added a third series called the Diamond Poker Classic.

Like their other series, the Diamond Poker Classic was a four-day series with four one-day tournaments which escalated in buy-ins from the first day ($400) to the last ($1,100). It ran from May 18 to 21 and PokerNews Canada was on site live-reporting all of the action.
