Chris Symesko Wins Alberta Poker Championship

Alberta poker got back in action for 2017 with the Alberta Poker Championship at Casino Edmonton. The Main Event was won by Chris Symesko for $46,480.
Got HU vs one my hero's in the YEG 1k, chopped most of the money and played for 10k. Went into god mode and shipped it. Good start to 2017!

The Pure Canadian Gaming property hosted a five-event series last week that culminated in the $1,100 Main Event with two starting flights. By the time the two Day 1s wrapped up, the field had closed with 176 entries and 44 players were set to return for Day 2 with Calvin Kochan bagging the most chips.
Unfortunately for Kochan, he wasn’t able to carry that advantage into the money and was eliminated outside of the top 18 players who earned a payout. The prize pool came to a total of $167,200 and Chris Symesko handily pocketed the largest portion of that.
With two well-known and talented players facing each other heads up, it was Jimmy Lee who fell in second place for $25,920 while Chris Symesko earned the win and $46,480 to kick off the new year.
