Leo Leclerc Captures Title in Final PlayNow Poker Championship Event
The last event in the 2017 PlayNow Poker Championship has found its winner in Leo Leclerc. Leclerc topped a field of 150 players in the $400 buy-in no-limit hold’em event to claim a nice new trophy signifying the win along with $15,152.
The 150-person field created a prize pool worth $56,250 and saw 16 players get paid with a min-cash worth $980. With an 8,000-chip starting stack and 30-minute blind levels, the field got narrowed down pretty early with the event lasting roughly 11 hours total.
Final Table Results
The final table saw Roberta Kent start with the chip lead. She held the chip lead throughout most of the final table, but during four-handed play Leclerc doubled off of Kent to take the chip lead. Eventually the two got heads up and Leclerc got the better of his opponent, eventually eliminating Kent in a heads-up battle that lasted seven hands.
