CoinPoker Joins Forces with the Asian Poker Tour

New cryptocurrency online poker site CoinPoker has signed a partnership agreement to become the official sponsor of the 2018 Asian Poker Tour.
This collaboration between CoinPoker and the APT will allow players to buy into and cash out of APT’s live tournaments using CHP, the cryptocurrency developed by CoinPoker. The deal will also see CoinPoker run satellites to APT events, including a freeroll on Apr. 15 that will award a seat to the APT Macau Main Event.
A total of 10 APT Macau Main Event seats and packages are up for grabs in CoinPoker satellites starting from Apr. 13. These satellites feed into the three APT Main Event Qualifier tournaments, as shown below:
Date | Buy-in | Prize |

Sun 15 Apr | Free | An APT Main Event seat |
Thu 19 Apr | 4,000CHP | APT Packages |
Sun 22 Apr | 3,000CHP | APT Main Event seats |
The APT packages include accommodation, travel expenses, and an APT Main Event seat.
Speaking about the new partnership, Lloyd Fontillas, the APT General Manager said: “With the sponsorship, CoinPoker will offer players around the world online satellite packages to APT Main and Super High Roller events. As well as other tournaments, giving players the opportunity to win APT tournament credits that can be used at any APT event.”
Sarah Hamid, Head of Content at CoinPoker, is equally as excited about CoinPoker sponsoring the 2018 APT. “We are very excited to have CoinPoker as an official sponsor of the APT this year. We see blockchain solutions as the future for poker in Asia, and that goes beyond the use of cryptocurrency to play.
