Tony Comley Collects over $80K in DeepStacks Edmonton Spring Main Event

The DeepStacks Poker Tour (DSPT) returned to Casino Yellowhead in Edmonton, Alberta for the DeepStacks Edmonton Spring Main Event. The $1,100 buy-in Main Event saw 420 entries across two starting flights.

A feel-good story from the event was Kris Klimosko. The Humboldt, Saskatchewan native wore a Humboldt Broncos hockey jersey in honour of the team who lost 15 players due to a horrible accident with the junior hockey teams bus. He said he would donate 60% of his winnings to the #HumboldtStrong fundraiser and managed to go on a run, finishing the tournament in 14th place for $5,710.

The tournament eventually came down to two players, Andrew Goertz and Tony Comely. Comely got the better of Goertz for the $81,200 first-place prize, while Goertz settled for $56,940 as the runner-up.
