It was a quiet week in live poker, but we still recap the Sunday majors, the Global Poker Index updated rankings, and the release of the dates for PokerStars’ SCOOP Series.
Here is your Weekly review for April 1 to 7, 2018:
”VictorVazquez” Tops Canadian List of Winners
The winners shined bright at partypoker this week with “VictorVazquez” taking home a third-place showing in the Super Sunday Warm Up High Roller for $30,300.
“JeanClaude1970” followed that result up with a fourth-place finish in the Sunday Major Super High Roller tournament for $21,875.
Sam “St8$$$Homey” Greenwood has a score in the $2,100 Sunday High Roller on PokerStars with a seventh-place finish. Collecting $10,871.

Bicknell Climbs the Ranks
Kristen Bicknell leapt into second place in the overall Canadian Global Poker Index (GPI) rankings and sits behind leader Ari Engel. Sam Greenwood, Timothy Adams, and Mike Leah round out the top five spots.
The 2018 GPI Canadian player of the year race is heating up with Bicknell sitting behind back-to-back winner Ari Engel. Daniel Negreanu, Sam Greenwood, and Ryan Yu hold onto the last spots of the top five.
Ari Engel also sits in second place in the over 2018 GPI player of the Year race, just 24 points behind Nick Pupillo.

SCOOP Returns For $65 Million Guaranteed
This year PokerStars is celebrating the tenth edition of their Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) series, which runs from May 6-21, offering low, medium, and high price points for buy-ins. The tournament series will also award five Platinum Passes worth $30,000 each for the PokerStars Players No-Limit Hold’em Championship which takes place in January at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA).
