Mozden Marches to Event #1 Trophy of Spring PlayNow Poker Championship

The 2019 Spring PlayNow Poker Championship presented by Farmery Estate Brewery got officially underway with Event #1, the $600 No Limit Hold'em event on Thursday April 25. The event saw 219 entries, including 24 satellite winners from the night before to create a prize pool worth $120,450. The winner would receive a grand prize of $31,912 while the tournament paid out the top 22 players with 19th-22nd spots receiving a min cash of $1,396.
After the final card was dealt, Clayton Mozden was holding all the chips to collect the first prize worth $31,912. Narrowly nudged for the trophy, Rocky Cairns settled for the runner up finish, collecting $20,221.
Mozden entered the final table third in chips while Mel Podaima had the chip lead. Kyle Harare entered the final table of ten players as the short stack.
