The Weekly Review is back showcasing five articles on the site this past week. PokerNews Canada's newest contributor Mike Patrick broke down the mixed game schedule in Vegas this summer, including the World Series of Poker (WSOP). Lots of Mixed Games to Play Around Vegas This Summer

After PokerStars' Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) the majority of the poker world flocks to Vegas for the summer, prime time for mixed game tournaments and cash game action. Mike Patrick breaks down the schedule across various Casino across Vegas.


All eyes will be at the Rio this summer for the WSOP with nine $1,500 events and four $10k championship events between May 30 and June 14.

Golden Nugget

The Golden Nugget's Grand Poker Series runs Sunday to Thursday and features $250 mixed games events with a $10,000 guarantee during the first half of June.

There are also events at Planet Hollywood, The Orleans, The Aria, and Binions

Canadian Twitch Streamers Officially Signed to partypoker and PokerStars

It was pre-announced before but Jaime Staples and Kevin Martin are now officially a part of partypoker. Staples' brother, Matt Staples was signed earlier as part of some of the first signings, along with Travis Darroch and Ryan Schoonbaert.

Canadian Arlie Shaban also joined the likes of Jason Somerville, Lex Veldhuis, and Benjamin "Spraggy" Spragg on the PokerStars Ambassadors team while also adding three other Ambassadors and eight SpokerStars sponsored streamers.

This is the third year in a row that partypoker LIVE and Playground Poker Club have hooked up for the MILLIONS North America event. This is the second MILLIONS event of the year taking place from May 13 to 26 which features 12 tournaments and $8 Million in guaranteed prize pools.

Scott Wellenbach Gives Away His Poker Winnings 'Because He Can'

Canadian Scott Wellenbach had the viewing audience in his corner during the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10,300 Main Event in January when everyone found out that he was donating all his winnings to charity. He eventually finished in third place for $671,000 out of the 865 entries. The feature article goes on to discuss his background and how he can donate his winnings to charity along with some of the charities he is choosing to donate to.

"donzlesurbru" Collects $63K and Top Canuck Honours

Canada started things off the right way last Sunday with "dujo123" winning the $215 Sunday Warmup on PokerStars for $31,469.

"PETETHEWOLF1" Continued with the strong Canadian results with a four way deal in the $11 Sunday Storm, turning that $11 into $12,518.

Over on partypoker "donzledurbru" eventually took home the biggest cash for a Canadian when they won the $2,100 buy-in Sunday High Roller Gladiator for over $63,000.
