The Weekly Review: Fall PlayNow Poker Championship in Full Swing
The Weekly Review is back with a breakdown of all the events that have taken place so far at the PlayNow Poker Championship in Winnipeg, MB. We also review the past Sunday's top performers on the virtual felt, along with a recap of some top Canadian results from the British Poker Open.

Gagic Wins Event One and Rosario Event 2 at Fall PSPC
The Fall PlayNow Poker Championship (PNPC) is officially underway with two events in the books along with the satellite which took place Wednesday night.
The satellite drew 277 entries which qualified 27 players to both the $1,100 Main Event and the $600 NLH Event 1.
Event 1 was the aforementioned $600 NLH event which saw a whopping 195 entries after late registration closed. This put the prize pool over $100,000 and would see the winner collecting more than $28,000. A three handed deal saw Mark Charles, Zoe Chua, and Mikki Gagic each guarantee themselves $18,000 while they played for an additional $4,820. In the end Gagic got the better of Charles (third place) and Chua (second place) for the victory and the extra $4,820 along with a new trophy and ring.
Event two was the $300 turbo bounty. Mikki Gagic jumped into the bounty event following his win in Event 1 and road out the run good to a 15 place finish. The tournament saw 251 players and would see around $15,000 be handed out to the winner. In the end Norbert Rosario won the trophy and $8,300 but Kyle Hartree had the biggest cash of $10,000 after a four way deal.

Luc Greenwood Dazzles at the British Poker Open
The first event at the British Poker Open was the £10,000 No-Limit Hold'em event and saw 26 entries. After the final card was dealt, Canada's Luc Greenwood was victorious, winning the title outright for £119,600, besting Steve O'Dwyer heads up. Sweden's Robert Flink finished third and Sam Grafton finished fourth as the min casher.
This should be a well attended event in terms of Canadian high rollers as there is no tax restrictions for winnings, unlike the US.

Jesse 'shakentoucan' Johnston Wins $18K in 888poker's Mega Deep
The top Canadian results came by way of the $100,000 guaranteed Mega Deep on 888poker this past Sunday. Jesse "shakentoucan" Johnston outlasted a field of 387 entries to win $9,614 in prize money along with another $9,156 in bounties as the format was switched to a bounty event. "LeetRunGood" was also another Canadian to final table the event but bowed out in ninth for a total of $1,600.
