The $100,000 Mega Deep
The usual premier Sunday tournament on 888poker boasts a guarantee of $100,000 for a $215 buy-in. This week saw 306 entries, keeping the prize pool locked at $100,000.
This week one Canadian found a spot at the final table. "SpiderMonk03" managed to make it all the way to heads up play but eventually bowed out as the runner up, receiving $14,500 for the second place finish. The winner of the tournament was “AceBluff88” of Germany who won 19,350 for the victory.
The $20,000 Whale is 888poker’s second biggest tournament of the day with a buy-in of $320 buy-in along with a $20,000 guarantee. This tournament saw a total of 47 players enter, to Just surpass the guarantee with $21,080 to play for.
No Canadians made the final table while Croatia's "F1SHRAP1ST" won the tournament for $7,378.
Sunday Majors on PokerStars
The biggest tournaments of the day get started on PokerStars every week with the $109 Sunday Kickoff with a $50,000 prize pool guarantee. This week’s edition had 547 entries, creating a prize pool worth $54,700.
No Canadians managed to crack the top nine spots in this tournament. “klenius” from Great Britain managed to outlast the field though to win $9,679.
The $215 Sunday Warm-Up heats up the action with a $125,000 guarantee. This week though the guarantee stayed at $125,000 but the buy-in was halved to $107.50. After late registration there were a total of 3,683 players who bought into the tournament to create a total prize pool of $368,300.
Of the final nine players, none were from Canada. “FlaskeW” from Denmark ended up with the victory, collecting $47,268
Mini Sunday Million
Giving the Sunday Million feel for a tenth of the buy-in is the weekly Mini Sunday Million where the buy-in is $22 with a $125,000 guaranteed. There were a total of 9,238 entries to create a total of $184,760 up for grabs.
At the final table, none were from Canada. The win went to Romania's “diw.2303” who won $13,924 for the victory after a three way deal.
Moving on to the lowest-priced tournament that could be considered a Sunday major, the $11 Sunday Storm is the best value you’ll find in online poker. Despite the tiny buy-in, the prize pool is set at a guaranteed $150,000. This week the buy in was halved to $5.50 but the prize pool remained at $150,000. The tournament saw a staggering 38,735 players enter, creating a prize pool of $189,801.
Canada was shut out from another final table this week while "luizcabo" won the tournament after a heads up deal with fellow Brazilian "arthurjdm". The winner received $17,187 while the runner up pocketed $14,187.
With a buy-in of $530, the Sunday 500 guarantees $75,000. A total of 156 entries beat the guarantee, coming in at $78,000 to play for.
No Canadians made the final table. The winner was “x_zola25” from Denmark who pocketed $7,904 for the victory.
The buy-in drops to $109 for the Sunday Cooldown with a turbo structure. The guarantee is set at $115,000 and with 1,461 entries, the guarantee was surpassed with a total prize pool of $146,100.
The final nine players had three Canadians. The first Canadian to exit the final table was "Hot Petro" who finished in sixth place for $2,062 plus an additional $150 in bounties. The second highest Canadian result went to "hneves182" who had a third place finish, receiving $5,694 plus $2,249 in bounties. The last Canadian standing was also the last player standing as "MATT HOLVIK" won the tournament, receiving $11,208 for the win plus an additional $7,413 in bounties.
The Sunday majors conclude on PokerStars with the $215 Sunday Supersonic — a six-max hyper-speed tournament with a $100,000 guarantee. This week a total of 502 entries pressed their luck to create a total prize pool of $102,789.
This week no Canadians made the final table. The winner was “rezdavid” from Hungary who won $18,222 for the victory.
