PokerNews-Exclusive Freeroll at PokerStars Moved to April 18 for ‘Technical Issues’

The PokerNews-exclusive $2,500 GTD. freeroll tournament planned for Friday, Apr. 10, at PokerStars has been rescheduled to Saturday, Apr. 18, due to some technical issues.

The connectivity problems that affected the correct functioning of PokerStars during the weekend obliged the poker room to cancel the event, a monthly $2,500 GTD. freeroll open exclusively to PokerNews players that was initially scheduled for Friday, Apr. 10 at 14:00 (ET).

All the players who have qualified to the event by either opening an account at PokerStars through PokerNews between Mar. 1-31, or who have generated 100 VPPs during March, are now invited to register to a replacement $2,500 GTD. freeroll tournament to be held on Saturday, Apr. 18, at 14:00 (ET).

All qualified players will receive a ticket to join the new event.

The Next $2,500 GTD. Tournament Kicks Off On May 8

The next $2,500 PokerNews-exclusive freeroll will be held at PokerStars on May 8.

Qualifying for the tournament is very easy and is something any player that has signed up to PokerStars through our links can do. Essentially, there are two paths to get involved in the freeroll, depending on whether you are a new or existing player.

  • New players need to download PokerStars through PokerNews, create an account using our marketing code CANADIANPNEWS and our FREE20 bonus code, and make a deposit between April 1-30, 2015. Following these steps will not only allow you to play in the freeroll on May 8, but also give you a great FREE $20 bonus to enjoy your games at the world’s biggest poker site.
  • Existing PokerNews players need to generate 100 VPPs in April to qualify for the freeroll on May 8.
