PokerStars Welcome Bonus: 100% First-Deposit Match up to $600
When you download the world's largest online poker site, PokerStars, via Canada's top poker news outlet, PokerNews Canada, you will receive a generous 100% first-deposit match up to $600! Just use our unique marketing code, "CANADIANPNEWS", when you create your account and the bonus code "STARS600" when you make your first deposit.
IMPORTANT: You must enter the marketing code CANADIANPNEWS when you are creating your account otherwise you will not be tracked to PokerNews, and will not be able to participate in any of our exclusive promotions at PokerStars.
PokerStars will match your first three deposits within 90 days of your first deposit, to a combined maximum of $600. Once the bonus has been credited to your account, you have a full 120 days to clear the bonus and see the money in your account.
This is how it works: each time you earn 200 VPPs, $10 of your bonus is released to your PokerStars account.
There is also a second bonus option available to new PokerStars customers — one that awards a FREE $20. Just make your first deposit of at least $20 at PokerStars using the bonus code "FREE20" and PokerStars will add an additional $20 cash to your account within 36 hours. In addition to the free cash, you will also receive up to 124 entries to the $100K Privilege Freeroll that runs four times per day.
PokerStars’ VIP scheme can be one of the most profitable for high-volume players. All players automatically start out their PokerStars career as a BronzeStar and as you earn VPPs for your real-money play, your status will improve to ChromeStar, SilverStar, GoldStar, PlatinumStar, Supernova, and Supernova Elite.
The benefits increase as you progress up the various VIP levels, but be warned that only the most dedicated of poker players reach Supernova and Supernova Elite. Can you join their ranks?
The rate at which VPPs are earned depends on the game and stakes played for and the number of players at your table. Be sure to check out the PokerStars website once you have created your account via PokerNews Canada.
PokerStars is by far the market-leader in the online poker industry. The poker room has been in business since 2001, making it one of the longest-running poker sites in the world, and has grown exponentially ever since.
As well as being the busiest poker room with the widest variety of games, PokerStars is also the home of the biggest weekly online poker tournament — the Sunday Million — and hosts massive online festivals like the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), MicroMillions, Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP), and the biggest of them all, the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP).
When the old Full Tilt Poker collapsed, PokerStars acquired Full Tilt's assets for $731 million, allowing Full Tilt's customers to be repaid. This was in June of 2012. Two years later, in 2014, the Canadian corporation Amaya Gaming acquired both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker for an astonishing $4.9 billion.

Zoom Poker @ 200 hands per hour
Zoom Poker is PokerStars' entry in the fast-fold or Speed Poker game. The software is slick and the action is very very fast. All rules are the same as a traditional no-limit hold'em or pot-limit Omaha cash game. But in Zoom Poker you will be dealt more than 200 hands per hour! You can also re-enter the pool, playing 2 Zoom tables at once for double the action.
How does it work?
Instead of being seated at one table with the same opponents, in Zoom games you enter a pool of players. When you fold a hand, you are instantly whisked away and placed on a new table with new opponents and a new hand is dealt. You can fold at anytime, even before it's your turn to act, then you'll be immediately sent to a new table with cards in the air. Opponents at your old table will not see that you've folded until the action gets to your avatar, by which time you could have been dealt two or three more hands.
This is the fastest way to play poker on the internet, and should see you log tons of volume, clear bonuses and climb up the VIP scheme quicker than ever before.
Pokerstars VIP Club
PokerStars' VIP is recognized by players as the top most rewarding frequent player program in the business. Players who achieve Supernova Elite will receive milestone bonuses, free entry into the WCOOP main events, and VIP Store discounts for major international tournaments. They will also earn FPPs at a faster rate than all players.
*Note VPPs are awarded based on a player's actual contribution to the pot, VPPs are not distributed equally by all players in a pot.
